Hi, I’m Meressa, an Indigenous photographer with proud Blackfoot roots and over a decade of experience behind the lens. Photography has always been more than a passion—it’s been a healing journey, a form of storytelling, and a way to uplift voices and capture truth.
I’ve had the honor of working with Indigenous-owned clothing brands, contributing to BuzzFeed, and creating powerful portrait work for individuals from all walks of life. Every photo I take is grounded in authenticity, resilience, and a deep respect for culture and community.
Coming from a difficult upbringing, I’ve faced and overcome many obstacles that shaped not only who I am—but how I see the world through my camera. My lens is guided by both the strength of my past and the beauty of the stories I get to tell today.
